STAINBOROUGH WENTWORTH CASTLE SE30SW 1/57 Former cowhouses and calf houses at Home Farm 15.1.79 (formerly listed as 3 cottages north of stables and barn to Home Farm) GV II Cowhouses and calfhouses. c1800. For the Wentworth Castle estate. Plastered, coursed rubble sandstone, brick to rear, Welsh slate roof. 2-storey central part, otherwise single-storey; 1 : 3 : 2 : 3 : 1 bays, end and central bays breaking forward. Central door in ashlar surround flanked by windows with projecting sills on each floor; ashlar band, pediment copings. Side wings have various doors and windows beneath eaves band. End bay on right is pedimented.
