GV II

Farmhouse. Probably early C17, altered and extended in C19. Timber-framed with painted brick infill, brick replacement walling and refacing, some sandstone rubble walling to rear; pebbledashed front elevation; tiled roofs with decorative ridge tiles, external sandstone ashlar chimney with tiled offsets and rebuilt stack to left side elevation, also brick stack to side of main ridge and external brick stacks at rear. Hall and cross-wing type plan, with former cross-passage. Main range of 3 framed bays; cross-wing of 2 framed bays. Framing exposed to rear of cross-wing; large square panels and straight braces in top corner panels; 2 storeys, attic and cellar.

Front elevation Scalloped bargeboards and eaves detail; main range has ground floor casement, a 4-pane sash, a pointed arched window, 3 first floor casements and lean-to porch to left enclosed by C20 glazed double doors and panelled side door; cross-wing has a bay window with plain sashes, a first floor case- ment and an attic light with pointed arch. C19 outshuts to rear.
