5/91 High House Farmhouse 25.10.51 (previously listed as Huntingfield High House)

Farmhouse. Dated 1700 in metal figures on the 2 front gables. Red brick with dark headers; moulded brick band at first floor level and brick modillion eaves cornice, both continued on the gable ends; roof plaintiled to front and pantiled to rear. 2 storeys and attics. Symmetrical facade: 4 windows, laid C20 cross windows under shallow segmental arches; one blank panel to ground floor, 2 to first floor. Small porch, possibly C19, with Dutch-gabled parapet and mid C20 4-panel door in original heavy doorframe. 2 Dutch gables at attic level, each with a single 2-light window. Central internal stack with a large recessed panel on each face. 2-bay gable ends with Dutch gables. To the rear is a timber framed and slated lean-to which probably formed part of the previous farmhouse on the site.
