Barn, late C16 or c.1600. 3 bays. Timber-framed and weather-boarded; the north gable is of mid C19 red brick. Pantiled roof, thatched until C19. A quite complete timber frame: full-height studwork with reversed arch windbracing. Side purlin roof: the lower tiers of purlins butted and the upper tier with reversed windbraces and clasped by reduced principals and collars. Arch braces at the open trusses are replaced by C19 knees. Until C19 the barn continued northwards by at least one bay; 4-bay barns in mid Suffolk normally have stabling in the fourth bay.
