House. Late C17 origin, extended in C18 and C20. Timber-framed, roughcast rendered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3-bay range aligned NE-SW, with axial stack between SW and middle bay. C18 extension to NW of NE bay, with central stack, forming an L-plan with main entrance to NE Extension to right and rear right, 1985, and conservatory between the rear wings. 2 storeys. 4-window range of C20 casements with segmental heads. Off-centre door, possibly introduced, with 2 rows of 3 panels and semicircular design of radial panels above, of pine, heavily studded, in C20 gabled porch. Roof hipped. All other windows are of the same type as in the front elevation. The original range has unjowled posts and primary straight bracing, built in one storey with attics, raised to 2 full storeys in C18. INTERIOR: chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue stops, plain joists of vertical section. 2 wide wood-burning hearths, with 0.33m jambs, of which the rear has a C20 mantel beam. The C18 stack has brickwork of high quality exposed in the entrance hall, and a C20 grate to right.
