YATTON ST 46 NW 5/192 STREAMCROSS (South side) Claverham Dovecote, 40 metres west and in grounds of Claverham cottage II GV Dovecote. Mid C18. Rubble, clay pantiles, shingles, cast iron. A single oblong cell, with two plank and batten doors in east elevation,one at ground floor, one at first (external stairs lost), ground floor has two (blocked) oculi north and south, truncated pyramid roof rises to square panelled cupola supported on chamfered members, copola has bird entrances north and south, shingled roof, thin C19 weathervane. Interior: plain ground floor, C19 cast-iron stepladder to boarded first floor, with 5 tiers of nest boxes, 6 to long axis, 4 to short. At west corner of walled garden, formerly that of Claverham House, (qv).
