ATHELINGTON TM 27 SW 5/4 Church Farmhouse 29.7.55 GV II Former farmhouse. A C16 2-cell range with slightly lower C17 addition to left. Set forward of the addition is a small gabled wing, probably a porch, the gable bearing the date 1682 and initials 'GH' in painted plasterwork.

Timber framed and plastered, roof of mid C20 concrete plaintiles. 2 storeys and attics. Various casement windows, mostly of mid C20 date, with large square-leaded panes; main range has a mullioned first floor window, perhaps original. To extreme left is a mid C20 lean-to open porch and door. Main range has an internal stack with rebuilt shaft and a later stack external to the left gable end. Interior not examined.
