Harbour and pier. 1816-24 by John Rennie, for the watering (via barrels and piping from a reservoir sited above Bovisand Bay) of naval ships moored in the Sound. Shale and rubble infill, faced in limestine blocks with granite corner blocks. L-plan, facing NW with a short N arm projecting from the demi-round NW corner.
