TM 36 NE YOXFORD HIGH STREET (east side)
10/165 Yoxholme (previously listed 7.12.66 as Tew and Sons premises under The Street
House and shop. Core probably C16, mid C18 facade. Timber framed core, colour washed brick facade with flat parapet; modern concrete pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 5 window range, sashes with glazing bars in flush frames, flat brick arches; central doorway with 6-panel door, raised and fielded panels, the upper 2 panels glazed, fluted pilasters, enriched frieze and cornice. To right hand side a fine early C19 shopfront with 2 slightly bowed 16-panel windows, sunk pilasters (originally with decorative infilling), frieze and dentil cornice; inset doorway with glazed door and rectangular fanlight with diagonal glazing bars; the original internal mechanical window blind system survives. Timber framed and plastered wing to rear restored early 1980's.
