ELDERSFIELD CP - SO 73 SE 6/51 Tomb chest approximately 7 metres south of nave of Church of St John GV II

Tomb chest. Early C18. Limestone with sandstone top. Sides have inscriptions within moulded borders with shouldered round tops, flanked by carved shells and drops of fruit and flowers. Ends have egg-and-dart cornices. Western end carved with three cherubs' heads. Inscriptions illegible at time of survey (April 1986).
