SO 3288 BISHOP'S CASTLE C.P. CHURCH STREET (east side)

12/38 Nos. 54 and 56 -

GV II House. Circa 1600, underbuilt, refaced and eaves raised in early C19.

Rendered timber frame with slate roof. Probably 2 framed bays. 2 storeys.

Deep eaves and rendered integral lateral stack to front off-centre to left. 2 first floor C19 wooden cross windows; 2 ground floor late-C20 casements flanking half-glazed late-C20 door off-centre to right, and boarded passageway door to left. Interior: evidence of former first floor jetty, underbuilt during alterations, probably in the early C19.
