House, then hotel in early C20, now house. Early C18. Red brick with painted ashlar dressings consisting of rusticated quoins, string courses, recessed rectangular panels beneath window sills and painted plinth. Plain-tile hipped roof with heavy moulded corniced eaves, integral brick stack to left return side. Rectangular plan with gable end to street. EXTERIOR: 2-storey and attic. Street front is a 2-storey, 2-window range of 6/6 sashes with painted rendered reveals, gauged brick lintels, moulded sills at first floor and plain sills at ground floor. Central pedimented dormer with 2-light multi-pane casement. Right return side: central doorway with 6 panelled double doors in flat fluted pilaster doorcase with segmental radial fanlight and fluted brackets and entablature enriched with carved medallions. 8/8 sash window over doorway and sash window to right of doorway, both with cambered heads. Small dormer window. INTERIOR: central panelled hall with dog-leg staircase with toad-back handrail, and carved balusters and moulded open string nosings. Fielded dado panelling. Fielded panelled doors with moulded frames incorporating semicircular plain wood tympani.
