House, C15 or early C16, altered C16 and C20. 2-cell cross-passage entrance plan. 1 1/2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and rendered; encased at front in C20 red brick. Thatched roof with thatched gabled dormers; rendered brick gable chimney. Aluminium casement windows. Brick and plaintiled C20 entrance porch and battened and boarded door. An open hall house with twin service rooms at the storied right-hand end. The 2-bay hall has a soot-blackened coupled-rafter roof, with evidence for a former crown-post system. 1st floor structure inserted into hall late C16. Roof above service rooms rebuilt C18.

Included despite C20 alterations because of early and quite complete framing, and because village blacksmith's house until C20.
