RAYDON THE STREET TM 03 NE (east side) 4/35 Timbers 22.2.55 - II House. Probable late C15 - early C16 core with extensive later additions and alterations. Timber-framed, rendered. Thatched roof, red brick stacks. Single- storey and attic 3-cell plan with lobby entry, now blocked. Hipped thatched porch, now glazed. Present entrance to right, C20 half-glazed door under tiled porch. C20 3-light casement to right. To centre C20 casements with leaded lights to ground floor and below eaves. To left of porch, C20 shallow bow and small fixed light. Eyebrow dormer with C20 casement. Off-centre and right end stacks.

Interior: central bay originally open to roof. Red brick inglenook with timber bressumer Two chamfered bridging beams with step stops, exposed joists. Deep timber ground sill and some wall studding. To first floor centre, further framing exposed including jowled post, cambered tie-beam incorporated into partition wall, rear wall plate with shutter groove. Roof not inspected but reported by owner to be of common rafter type, smoke blackened.
