House. Mid C17 with C18 refurbishment and early C19 additions and C20 restoration. Timber-framed, plastered, some brick, peg tile, plan rectangular. 2 storeys and attic. NW front elevation rendered with C20 panelled basket decoration. 2 window range, central C20 doorway and door. All windows have moulded architraves, C20 2-light casement 4x4 panes, stacks at NE and SW ends. Rear SE elevation: ground floor peg-tiled lean-to with stump of old rear stack. C20 boarded door, C19 fixed light, 4x5 panes with inserted hinged casement light, two C20 casements, one 2-light, one single, 2 gabled dormer windows with early C20 2-light casements 4x3 panes. INTERIOR: was once 2 houses, front door reset from former position, also old stairway site evident. End gable fireplaces identical, ground floor with original timber lintels, first floor brick arched. Framing reasonably stout, of C17 rather than C18 type. 2 doors of C17 panelling remain. Rear garden wall listed under No.3 High Street (qv).
