House, built as a `Gothick' folly. Early/mid C19, C20 partial refenestration. Flint cobble and red brick dressings decorated with dark brick waste `cinder' panels. Roof metal sheeting and roofing felt. Plan a very irregular rectangle. 2 storeys. E elevation to road: rectangular, embattled parapet, bartizan on S end, single 2-light blind window on ground and first floor with labels, infilling of brick cinder, brick cornice between floor and below parapet. Cinder patterns in flint walling. 4 centre brick arched doorway at N end, C19 door, boarded and battened. Above, first floor rectangular blind window similar to others now with small inserted casement window. N elevation: long articulated range of irregular bays of octagon and canted form, similar to front. To E older sash windows, some in Gothick surrounds. To S, considerably replaced by C20 black aluminium lattice glazed casements. S elevation: long range. S end flanked by 2 octagonal towers, plain cinder panelled parapet. To N, crow-stepped gable, 4 octagonal stacks behind and 2-storey lancet window. N end, second floor oriel window on brick corbel, blind lancet window each side all in house style. S end, C20 aluminium casement window and doors. W elevation: irregular, octagonal tower to S, central gabled porch with inner 2-leaf door with upper glazed panes and lower fielded panel. Ground floor room to N with 3 C20 aluminium casement windows, octagonal bay above and behind, all in house style. INTERIOR. Seen to be plain
