Public house. Early C19 with C20 refurbishment and enlargement. Brick, rendered and colourwashed, slate roofs, red brick and gault brick stacks. Plan, irregular rectangle of C19 double pile with C20 long rear addition and C20 cross block at S end on site of former carriageway. 2 storey and partial attic. E front elevation: 2 units, old range to N and C20 rebuilt unit on site of former carriageway to S. Older block, 3 window range and central door, end stacks at roof ridge, second pair behind, Doorway has flat cornice hood, simple frame, C20 door, upper glazing 3x4 panes, 3 lower panels. To N, 2 C19 long sash windows, glazing bars, 7x4 panes, to S of doorway, C20 single window of 2 conjoined horned sashes,each 5x4 with broad central stile. First floor, 2 sliding sashes windows, one 4x3 panes, one 2x2 panes, one 2-light casement 4x3 panes. C20 unit to S similar to rest, long ground floor sash window, 6x4 panes, first floor sliding sash window 4x3 panes and skylight.

Rear, W elevation: original block mainly obscured by C20 ground floor addition but 2 first floor segment headed C19 sliding sash windows and C20 single light casment. Ground floor addition has one 4-panel door, upper 2 glazed, also internal lobby with 2 doors with upper glazed panels, one casement window with glazing bars 3x4 panes and one of 3 lights, 6x3 panes, also, 4 C20 metal casement window, one 2-light, 3 single light. S end elevation: C20 unit. Gabled, ground floor obscured by single storey addition. First floor, 2-light casement window 4x3 panes. N end elevation: C19 twin gabled units, each with ridge stack, moulded barge-boards decorated with projecting lozenges, each unit has ground floor single C20 fixed light. Rear ground floor C20 addition has moulded facia board and 2-light casement window with glazing bars, 4x4 panes. INTERIOR: plain.
