SU 5828 CHERITON B3046 (West side) 69/11/16 Stable block 40m N of The Old Rectory 19.12.83 II

Stable block. C18. Reused dressed stone blocks, brick, old plain tile roof. 2 stables in 4 bay, 11/2 storey building on plinth with dressed stone off-set. In 2nd bay from right C18 wide segmental headed stable door with hay loft door above. In bay each side C18 segmental headed 2-light leaded casement. In left bay stable door replaced by C20 timber garage doors. Stone from Cheriton or possibly Beauworth church after fire or demolition.
