Cl8. Symmetrical pair. 2 storey and attic. Brick on chamfered plinth. Moulded wood eaves cornice. Half hipped mansard old tile roof. Tile-hung gable ends.

2 dormers, each 3-light casements. 2 windows, with red rubbed heads. 2 6-panel doors in outer corners, in deep plain reveals with doorcases of pilasters and scroll brackets supporting delicate cornices and pediments. Plain frieze between brackets. Cornices broken forward over brackets. 3 stone steps to doors. No 65 has cast iron knocker of floral pattern.

All the listed buildings in Castle Street (East Side) form a group.
