EVERSHOT ST 5704 THE COMMON (North side) 7/44 Nos. 2 and 3 11.11.53 II Formerly the Fox Inn, now two attached cottages. Mid C19 with C20 alterations.
Rubble-stone walls. Slate roof, with gable ends and stone gable-copings and moulded kneeler-blocks. Stone stacks at left hand, ridge right of centre, and one behind ridge. 1 1/2 storeys. 4 windows in total, no.2 has one, two, and three-light hollow chamfered stone mullions, iron casements with diamond-leaded lights. No.3 has 2-light mullions of the same design, C20 metal casements.
Separate, returned labels throughout. Gabled dormers at each end of facade, original, having 2-light mullions with labels over. Doors: no.2, C19 plank door with separate label over. No. 3, door at right hand end, C20 plank and glazed, separate label over. Rear wall has triangular gablets, with 2-light casements.
