Detached farmhouse. C17, C18, C19 and C20. Square-panelled timber-framing with painted and unpainted brick infill, brick extensions, red tile roof probably formerly thatched, brick stacks.

L-shaped plan with early C18 and C19 extensions extending forwards on left of north front. C19 lean-to kitchen extension in front of forward facing right-hand gable. Projecting bread oven at right end of lean-to. C20 weather-boarded lean-to centre front, not of special interest. Main body; 2 storeys and attic. Two small timber-framed gables lighting first floor, above C20 lean-to.

C19-early C20 timber-framed dormer lighting roof of 2-storey C18 extension left. Irregular fenestration; 2 and 3-light C20 wood casements mostly with horizontal glazing:bars. Five-windowed south front lit by 2-and 4-light C20 casements with glazing bars in segmental-headed surrounds. C17 star-shaped twin stacks with zig- zag tiling between stacks and small pointed finials around base either side of 2 timber-framed gables. Left-hand gable possibly formerly a projecting 2-storey porch with early studded plank door at ground floor level. Triple C19 diagonal stacks right of front door also with brick finials. Projecting decorated C19 twin stacks from left gable-end of main body. Rectangular brick stacks from C19 extensions. House was the home of the Buckle family during C18 and C19 (q.v. monuments in church).
