2/7 Barn about 10 metres west of Wanshurst

GV II

Barn. C16, with later alterations. Timber framed, on stone plinth.

Left end of front elevation rendered above midrail, rest weatherboarded. Hipped plain-tile roof. 3 timber-framed bays, built at right-angles to road. Central full-height double doors to front (north). Front lean-to to left. Interior: gunstock-jowled posts.

High lapped collars. Lower inserted clasped purlin with nailed collars. Arch braces to side walls and to centre of gable ends.

Gable-end tension braces trenched past midrail. Daub and stave infilling to north-east corner.
