House. C18. Red brick. Double range red plain tiled roofs. External right and left red brick chimney stacks. Parapet and parapet verges. 2 storeys and attics. 2 later flat headed dormers. Moulded brick band under parapet and central band. 5 window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes with thick glazing bars. Gauged brick arches with keystones. Central 6 panelled door, fluted surround. Elaborate early C19 lacework cast iron porch with flat canopy, probably the work of an early foundry, Wallis of Colchester. Moulded lead porch to rear door with trefoiled edging. Interior features include, dado panelling to front room, chamfered ceiling beams, C18 oval ground floor fire surround. Early C19 cast iron fire surround. C18 red brick kitchen fireplace with iron soffit tie. Late C19/Early C20 home of Dr. E.P. Dickin, Brightlingsea historian.
