CRANBROOK SWATTENDEN LANE TQ 73 SE (North side) 6/264 - Little Charity GV II Former hall-house, now house. Early C15, with C18 cladding and C20 extensions.

Timber-fronted on red brick plinth with weatherboarded cladding, tilehung on first floor to west. Plain tiled hipped roofs. Hall-house plan. 1 storeys with ridge stack to right, and gabled semi-dormers to left and on south (right) end. Irregular 2 windows front, casements. Boarded door with gabled hood on curved brackets to right. 1 storey extension to left with 2 gabled dormers and boarded door to right. Gabled porch to right at south and flanked by low gabled extension. Interior: Heavy framing visible.

Inserted brick stack with replaced wooden bressummer. Heavily jowled posts.

Uniform scantling roof with collars and smoke-blackening.
