SIBSON-CUM-STIBBINGTON GREAT NORTH ROAD, TL 09 NE Sibson (South-West Side) 1/105 Three barns c.10 metres to north-west of Sibson House Hotel and stone mounting block.

GV II Three barns and stable accommodation. Mid C18, late C18 or early C19 and C19.

Coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings. Collyweston roofs (one formerly thatched). Original barn to right hand, with two later barns forming one continguous range. Original barn with parapet gables and dovecot at first floor with wooden framed flight entry, two glazed doors and C20 window (mounting block with three steps beside window dated 1703); central barn with double boarded doors and C20 window with wooden lintel, two small first floor windows; left hand barn with double boarded doors, ventilation slits and one casement first floor window with wooden lintel. The earliest barn is mentioned in the lease of The Wheatsheaf Alehouse, Barn Stables etc for 1771 from the Bedford Estate.
