ST12NW FITZHEAD CP CHURCH ROAD (EAST SIDE)
6/106 Unidentified Chest tomb, about 5 metres South of chancel, Church of St James the Great -
Chest tomb. Late C17, early C18, Ashlar sandstone. Ledger topped, wrapped leaf frieze, arcaded sides with billetted arches, egg and tongue moulded piers. Subsided into ground and largely obscured by ivy at time of survey (March 1983).
Similar to Ann Brulard Chest Tomb (qv).
