2/119 Thatched Cottage - - II

House, late C17 with early C19 alterations. Originally of 3 cell plan. 2 storeys. Timber- framed and plastered. Thatched roof with axial late C18 or early C19 chimney of red brick. Late C20 casements. Early C19 boarded entrance door. Unmoulded C17 framing fully exposed. Wide back-to-back open fireplaces with timber lintels. Clasped-purlin roof. Circa 1800, the house was divided into two cottages; tie-beams and partitions were moved, and the chimney possibly rebuilt in a new position.
