DUNNERDALE AND SEATHWAITH BROUGHTON MILLS SD 29 SW Ramp barn and byres with 6/79 courtyard entrance linking it to north return of Hesketh Hall G.V. II

Ramp barn, with byres below, and wagon entrance to courtyard. Probably late C18/early C19; later additions and alterations. Coursed rubble with quoins.

Graduated slate roofs. Barn: 2 storeys, 5 bays. Central plank wagon door up ramp an north side. Plank winnowing door opposite, on courtyard elevation with 3 byre/stable doors and 2 windows below, under slate canopy. Wall, with timber lintel to wagon entrance, links barn to north return of house; lean-to slate roof over C19/C20 store to rear. Included for group value.
