Late C18 is villa built for James Leacock, ancester of Stephen Leacock who also lived in the house during his childhood. Original villa of two storeys stucco faced with band between storeys and plinth. The slightly recessed end bays were added later towards mid C19. Low pitch hipped slate roof, projecting eaves. Five windows, recessed, sash, glazing bars intact, block sillo, Venetian shutters. Central porch of square section Tuscan columns with entablature, modern door, glazed. On the left hand side of the porch a small head set in a jointed arch with crockets deriving from St Helen's Priory, Priory Road, St Helen's.
To the North is a bowed extension added in the 1930's but in keeping with the original house. Both fronts are partially covered by a creeper.
South side has a bow window of three lights and two bay windows of three lights on ground floor, pilasters between lights, frieze and cornice, glazing bars intact. Early to mid C19 wing added to rear, three windows, recessed, sash, glazing bars intact.
