GV II

House. Late C17. Painted stone with slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Slate dripcourse to ground floor. Windows have casements; fire window, and 3-light wood mullioned windows with iron opening lights. Gable-end stack. Entrance has slate gabled canopy and wide-boarded door. Rear wing with gable-end stack.

Interior has chamfered beams; 2-panel door, winding stair and rear fireplace range. Property of The National Trust, the gift of Beatrix Potter.
