SE 18 NW MIDDLEHAM KIRKGATE (west side,off) 9/136 Carlton House II

House. Early C19. Brick, in English garden wall bond, and coursed stone; stone slate roof. 2 storeys with basement, 3 bays. Raised ashlar quoins.

Stone basement has 2 segmental-arched windows with impost band flanking long flight of stone steps up to central, half-glazed ground-floor door in plain stone surround. Ground and 1st floor windows are sashes with glazing bars with stone cills and lintels. Moulded eaves cornice.Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Brick end stacks, renewed to left.
