House. Late C17/early C18 rebuilding of earlier timber-framed house.

Colourwashed limestone rubble; gabled old tile roof; brick left end stack.

2-unit plan. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Central C20 door and stone porch. Segmental brick arches over C20 three-light casements: 3-light dormer casements. Lower wing of similar materials to right, has mid C20 dormers and extension to right. Interior: open fireplace to left: right room has plank panelled wall to left. First floor has late C17/C18 spice cupboard with butterfly hinges to left, and softwood post-and- pad truss. It is possible that the house was rebuilt after 1680 when it was bought by John Stacey, mason. The rear wall has the bressumer, post and wall-plate of an earlier timber-framed building.
