WINKLEIGH HIGH STREET, Winkleigh SS 6308 11/180 Thatched Cottage and Susan's Salon GV II Cottage and adjoining hairdresser's premises. C18. Rendered cob walls. Gable- ended thatch roof. Brick stack at left gable-end.
Plan: presently 1-room plan but may originally have been 2 rooms with small service room to right. Lower section at left-hand end (now hairdresser's premises) was probably an outbuilding.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2-window front of later C19 4-pane sashes and central part-glazed door. One storey addition at left-hand end, now a hairdressers premises.
Interior: no original features visible on ground floor but an open fireplace is probably concealed.
