Thatched Cottage GV II

Formerly beer house, now detached dwelling. Probably C16 or earlier. Rubble, thatch. Single block with small modern extension left, and new projection at back; thatch moulded to upper windows. Two storeys three windowed, all new casements, but one three-light wood mullioned with leaded glazing in gable, right.

Interior has heavy roof principals in raised cruck form, remains of early fire opening in left gable, with possible stair well adjacent; broad stone newel stair in square plan adjacent large stone flue centre right. C18 shutters panelling and doors. Broad floor boards, up to 14 ins in central section.
