SK 21 SE PARISH OF OVERSEAL ACRESFORD ROAD 5/36 (West Side) 19.1.67 No 16 GV II

House. Mid C18 with early C19 alterations. Red brick, roughcast to front range with red plain tile roofs, that to front range with rendered gable stacks and moulded brick cornice, and that to rear range with brick coped western gable, large central brick ridge stack and a dentilled brick eaves band. Two storeys plus garrets and T-pl.an with three bay front range and four bay rear range. Front elevation has advanced early C19 ground floor with central pilastered doorcase and flanking canted bays. Bays have glazing bar sashes and corner pilasters, and doorcase has panelled door with original knocker below a divided overlight. Above there are three glazing bar sashes, that to south with thick glazing bars and a single pane casement in the upper sash. Rear range has off-centre segment headed doorcase with panelled door and three segment headed glazing bar sashes, two to east with thick glazing bars. Above there are four segment headed openings, three with glazing bar sashes and one over the door blocked. Interior has stick baluster staircase to front range and a large inglenook and chamfered beams to rear range.
