TA 20 NW LACEBY PHILLIPS LANE (east side) 2/44 No 28 (The Cottage) 3.8.76 - II House. C17 - early C18, encased in C19 with C19-C20 additions and alterations. Timber frame encased in brick, with brick additions, colourwashed. Concrete tile roof. Plan: 2 bays of timber framing; 2-room lobby-entry with stairs behind stack; later rear outshut and kitchen to left. Single storey with attic, 2 windows. C20 half-glazed door under timber lintel flanked by C20 casements. Half-hipped roof with central stack. Attic casements to left and right returns. Interior: timber framing visible behind stack and on first floor includes wall post, wall plates, tie beams and panels with vertical studs and curved braces.
