BARNFIELD CRESCENT 1.

1092 No 1 SX 9292 NW 3/20 29.1.53. II GV 2.

Circa 1840. Built by Dr Thomas Shapter. Built in sympathy with Nos 2-6 (consec).

Red brick with stucco bands. 3 storeys, 4 windows, with a continuous cast-iron balcony on cast-iron brackets to the 1st floor. Round headed windows on the ground floor, sashes with glazing bars above. 6 panel door with a good fanlight and sidelights.

Parapet, roof not visible. Interior has marble reliefs and chimney pieces.

[Nos lA and Nos 1 to 6 (consec) form a group.
