HARRIETSHAM FAIRBOURNE LANE TQ 85 SE (east side)

4/38 Fairbourne Mill GV II House. Early C19 facade to earlier building. Late C19 wing to left. Right range: ground floor uncoursed galleted stone with red brick dressings. First floor banded with plain and fishscale tiles. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and garret on stone plinth.

Roof half-hipped to right and abuts addition to left. Rear stacks to right and to left. Irregular fenestration of 3 windows; one glazing-bars sash off-centre to left, flanked by tripartite windows. Door with 6 fielded panels and 2 top lights off-centre to left with flat corniced hood. Wing to left: Late C19.

Projects forward slightly. Red brick in Flemish bond with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on brick plinth with hipped roof. Rear stack.

One sash and one tripartite sash to front. Panelled door with flat bracketted hood. Left return elevation overlooks Mill pond.
