SOTHERTON TM 47 NW 6/41 Barn 20m east of Sotherton Hall

GV II

Barn. Late C17/early C18 with later additions. Part timber framed and weatherboarded, part red brick. Roof of corrugated iron sheeting, hipped at the south end. The original building has 3 bays, with a gabled porch on the east side. The open trusses have arched braces and the roof has 2 rows of staggered butt purlins. To the south is a later C18 brick addition; to the north, separated by a partition, is a timber framed addition, probably C19.
