GV II

Inn. Late C17/early C18. Limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 3-unit lobby-entry plan with rear outshut and subsidiary wing. 2 storeys plus attic and one storey plus attic. 3-window front, with lower wing projecting to extreme right, has an entrance with an old plank door between 3-light segmental-arched casements, and has casements of 3, 2 and 3 lights at first floor below a brick dentil eaves course; all openings have brick dressings. Roof has 4 gabled roof dormers including a blind dormer in line with the entrance and the ridge stack. Left gable wall, facing road, has heavy ashlar quoins and ashlar dressings to 4 small casements plus a further stack. Interior: open fireplaces.
