Baptist chapel. 1863. By Bland. Brick with stucco front with heavy cornice and blocking course above frieze. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 bay imposing front to street, with 1-bay brick extensions either side, well set back, the right one with a stucco pedimented porch. Projecting giant distyle Tuscan portico under pediment to central bay. Corresponding giant pilasters at angles and between bays. Recessed door with recessed panel above, flanked by lateral scrolled consoles. Ground-floor windows square-headed with margin lights. 1st-floor windows round-headed with moulded stucco archivolt with key and band at spring. Stucco band between floors. Plinth with panels beneath windows and moulded band at ground-floor sill level. INTERIOR: not inspected.
