TQ2905SW THE DRIVE 579-1/15/118 (West side) No.77 including gatepiers and railings
GV II
House. 1888-1890. Architect H.B.Measures, builder William Willett. Flemish style. Red brick with terracotta dressings, steeply pitched, hipped clay tile roof, polygonal chimney rising from eaves centre, other stacks on returns. Plan: single-fronted. 3 storeys plus attic, 1:1 bays; mixed fenestration, dormers with many paned sash windows, flat roofed dormer centre and open pedimented top to left, tall shaped gable to right bay with dormer window, 3 windows on second floor opening onto balcony of 2-storey canted bay, window on second floor left gives access to balcony with bottle balustrade, C20 glazed screen addition, oriel bay above entrance, latter with arched head to recessed porch, original panelled door. Brick and terracotta gatepiers, hexagonal with ogee caps, low wall with railings.
