Inn, C18 with C19 modifications. Local lias stone cut and squared, painted ashlar dressings; clay pantiled roofs between stepped coped gables, behind parapet to main block; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys; 6 bays, of which bays 3,4 and 5 represent main building. Bay 1 has tall 3 centred through archway with 20 pane sash window in plain opening over; bay 2 has 16-pane sash window below and painted and signwritten blind panel above: main block has 24 pane sash windows in plain openings; double boarded doors bay 4 in painted stone surround with simplified classical pilasters and entablature; bay 6 has 3 centre archway with impost and keystone framing double, boarded doors, over which is a double 2-pane sash window: hanging signs at upper level between bays 2 and 3, and 4 and 5. Interior not seen.
