8/101 Eden Bank and Eden Bank Cottage

House and adjoining cottage. Early C18 with C19 alterations. Cement-rendered walls, under graduated greenslate roof with partly-rendered banded red sandstone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays with right 2-bay cottage under common roof.

Eden Bank has central C20 door in plain opening. Casement windows with flat stone mullions removed, those on ground floor probably originally 3-light;and 2-light above. Cottage has cross-passage doorway at left, the lintel inscribed and dated, read originally as 1667 or 1676, but now very worn and is probably reused. C20 door in C19 painted stone surround. 3-light flat stone-mullioned windows and smaller window over entrance. Interior altered. Rear has some small original chamfered-surround windows.
