OVERBURY CP CHURCH ROW (north side) SO 9437 - 9537 9/137 Gate pier and wall adjoining Nos 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8 to the west GV II

Gate pier and wall. Circa 1877, probably by Richard Norman Shaw for Robert Martin. Ashlar. Wall is about 5 1/2 feet high with a moulded coping and runs west for about 17 yards where it terminates in a square pier with a ball finial.

This pier forms a pair with that at the north-east end of the north quadrant wall of the main gate piers, gates and quadrant walls about 50 yards east of Overbury Court (qv). Included for group value.
