ACOMB THE HERMITAGE NY 9365 NY 934654 20/34 Wellhouse in field to north of A 69 15.4.69 II

Wellhouse, probably mid-C18. Ashlar. Square plan. Round arch with archivolt on attached Tuscan columns, enclosing fluted cast-iron spout above broken bowl.

Moulded cornice. Low pyramidal roof carrying tall urn finial with gadrooned base. Returns show recessed panels, rebated opening at rear.
