SD 57 SW CARNFORTH NORTH ROAD
4/72 No. 129 (Hall Gowan) II
House, early-to-mid C19th. Pebbledashed with sandstone dressings and quoins, and slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-bay front to south east. All windows sashed with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds. Door has plain stone surround with cornice hood. Eaves project on shaped wooden brackets. Left-hand end of roof is hipped, right-hand gabled with stack. South-west wall has tripartite french window with stone mullions. At the right-hand end is a canted bay window, sashed with glazing bars. On the 1st floor are 3 sashed windows with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds. Re-set over a door at the rear is a battlemented lintel 'IH 1694'.
