SHUTFORD SP 3839 13/108 Barton Hill Farmhouse and barn abutting on left GV II Farmhouse and attached barn. One build. Early C18. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched thatched roofs. Brick ridge stacks on stone bases.
Farmhouse. 4-unit plan. Single storey plus attic. 3-window range. Entrance off-centre to left has 6-panelled door, overlight and hood. To right a 3-light casement with wood lintel and a canted bay window. To left 2 C20 windows with wood lintels. Attic has 2 half dormers with 3- and 4-light casements in wood frames and a 2-light casement with wood lintel. Front elevation has traces of limewashing. Interior has a stop-chamfered beam. Barn. Wide entrance has wood lintel. 3-light stone mullioned window on left above door. Principal rafter roof.
