TF 50 SW OUTWELL ROBBS CHASE 16/115 (South Side)

Woodhall GV II

Late C17 or early C18 farmhouse, possibly contemporary with Beaupre Hall Farm, Outwell and one of few buildings to survive from that period. Altered in C19. Two storeys with original T-plan, single storey bakehouse to north. Local brown brick, rendered front elevation. Slate roof with large side stacks to north and south gables, each with brick offsets and moulded string courses continuous at first floor level of front elevation. Three first floor, four-paned hung sash windows, and two, canted bay windows flanking C18 six-panelled door. Red pantiled roof with tumbled parapet gable and end stack to bakehouse; baking oven and large cooking hearth intact. Interior details to farmhouse largely C19 but include a sealed inglenook hearth, some chamfered ceiling beams and original doors. Cross-entry obscured by C19 staircase.
