C18/19. Whitewashed granite rubble and stuccoed stud walling. Slate hipped roof. 3 storeys. 4 windows. Sashes with glazing bars, in exposed casing, some have been replaced by modern casements. Granite steps with simple iron railings to 1st floor doorway on end wall, modern wood balcony above. Included for group value.

Fairmaids Cottage and No 12 form a group with commander England Ltd and Stella-Maris, Grenfell Street.
